Passing Paper Bags and Leaves in Secrecy

Now this story begins soon after the last Peter Pan story. In fact, it is only a couple days after the ending of the last one. The girl’s mother had decided that she wanted her daughter to see a psychic to ask about all of the horrible things that were going on in her daughter’s life, and to see if there would be any end to it. The girl thought this would be a great opportunity to ask about the strange leaf imprint that she found on her Disney plans.

So on a beautiful summer day, the girl and her parents set out through the danger of the land of Indiana and found the psychic, in a little cottage. Oh the psychic said that the girl would get over her troubles, she said all of those good things, prayed with the girl, and even gave her a special crystal, but the leaf imprint astounded the psychic. She didn’t really know what to make of it. She claimed that the girl and Peter Pan had good energy, a special bond, that that was why the leaf imprint happened. But not only did Peter Pan have something to do with it, so did God. The psychic nearly demanded that she get in touch with Peter Pan again, because this bond was far too special to let go. The girl informed the psychic that she would be seeing him again, that she would be going back to Walt Disney World in a month. The psychic was overjoyed about this and wished the girl good luck.

The month between the two visits was filled with many joyful moments, but also with very painful moments. One moment was particularly painful for the girl. It only happened a couple days before her next trip, she was so pained by it, that she came home very upset. She went in her room, and collapsed onto her bed in misery. She happened to glance down on her bed…and she saw bits and pieces of a leaf. She didn’t think much of it, in fact it even angered her that her bed had bits and pieces of a leaf on it. Then she noticed fully what it was. How strange it was, that she found bits and pieces of a leaf in her room. After all, where did they come from? She picked up the bits and pieces and felt them, surprisingly they felt just like the leaf that Peter Pan gave her, that she lost! The girl was overwhelmed by this, and started crying even more, but more so out of joy. She picked one up, and taped it to where she kept beloved things of Peter Pan in a book. Then as she walked out of her room, she kept finding more bits and pieces of leaves. They were all over her room. She told her mother about it, and her mother was shocked. The girl began to cry, this time out of happiness, but also out of fear. Yes, the girl grew scared. She couldn’t believe why and how these miraculous things were happening to her, and it scared her. There was no logical explanation for them, the fact that she couldn’t explain it, is what scared her. Soon though she accepted it. She decided to look at the book, where she kept some Peter Pan things in it, and glanced down at the piece of leaf that she taped down on the page. If you covered a bit of the piece of leaf, it looked like a heart. The girl didn’t know what to think of that, and knew that she had to ask Peter Pan about it, when she saw him at Walt Disney World.

The trip came sooner than expected, and the girl and her friend were off to have a jolly good time at Walt Disney World. The girl and her friend first spent some time at a very wild kingdom in Walt Disney World called Animal Kingdom. In this Animal Kingdom, they saw a lady, as tall as the trees, who dressed like one as well! They saw many different kinds of animals like giraffes, elephants, and lions on a fourteen-day safari. They danced along Indian dancers in a street show. But what had to be the most fun to these brave and adventurous girls were their conquering of Animal Kingdom’s tallest mountain, Everest. They conquered the mountain five times!

The girls left Animal Kingdom to their inn very happy and feeling accomplished. Back at the inn, the girl decided to write a letter to Peter Pan, on the back of a paper bag that she wanted to give to him. As she was writing the letter, tears rolled down her face, for the girl was pouring out her heart to Peter Pan. Peter Pan had always been a big part of the girl’s life, so she had to let him know that, and actually meeting Peter Pan, only escalated the girl’s love for him. Satisfied with her letter, she bathed, talked with her friend, and then they both went to sleep.

The next day they arose to go to Magic Kingdom, the place where Peter Pan played, and many other magical things happen. The very first thing that the girls decided to do was meet Peter Pan. They got in line amongst Peter’s adoring fans. The girl pulled out her book, her camera, and the gift for Peter. She put the gift inbetween the pages for Peter Pan that she had in her book. Soon Peter came, and he took notice of the girl. In fact, he took far too much notice in the girl, for when he was meeting his other fans, he kept stealing glances towards her. He remembered her alright, and was probably shocked at her quick return. Whilst he was talking to a fan about a parade, he looked directly at the girl, as if he was recalling the time that he saw the girl during the Main Street Electrical Parade a month ago. Oh Peter Pan can be so sneaky sometimes!

Soon it came time for the girl and her friend to meet Peter Pan. The girl let her friend meet him first, because the girl knew she was going to take a long time with him. The girl’s friend was having much fun with Peter Pan, talking to him and even crowing with him. The girl’s friend’s dream had come true: crowing with Peter Pan. The girl’s friend was satisfied so she stepped to the side to let the girl talk with Peter.

When Peter saw her, he smiled a big smile, he remembered her very well. The girl asked just to make sure that he did, and sure enough he did.

Then the girl said, “I have something for you.”

Peter grew curious at this and asked what it was. The girl reached into her book and pulled out the folded up bag with the letter. Now this bag was a bag from Peter’s favorite restaurant: Portillo’s, so you can imagine what joyfulness might happen next. So the girl unfolded the bag, and gave it to him. He was so surprised. He was amazed that the girl would do that for him.

He went up to everyone around him and said, “Look! I asked her to give me this months ago, and she finally gives it to me!”

All the while the girl was laughing at how happy Peter became. He wondered though, why the girl didn’t bring him a beef sandwich from Portillo’s, why it was just the paper bag. She said that she couldn’t bring a beef sandwich with her. Peter began sniffing the inside of the bag to see if it still smelled like the food. It didn’t though, because the girl had just gotten a bag with no food in it, for Peter. The girl then said that there’s a letter on the back of the bag. Peter grew happy at this, and then gave the bag to his friend, Noah.

"Don’t read it! That’s for me!" Peter exclaimed to Noah.

The girl then said she had to tell some more things to Peter. She mentioned that during her last Walt Disney World trip, she lost the leaf that Peter gave to her. Then she opened up her book, and showed Peter the piece of parchment with the leaf imprint on it, explaining that that piece of parchment was nowhere near the leaf. Then she explained to him, how one day, when the girl was very sad, she came home to her room full of bits and pieces of leaves, she showed one of them, which was in her book, to Peter. Then the girl asked Peter Pan, how all of these things happened. All the while, Peter Pan had a bit of a shocked expression to his face. But he said that he made the leaf imprint appear and that Tinkerbell left the bits and pieces of leaves in the girl’s room. Apparently Tink was actually intending on giving her a present, but decided not to, because well the girl is a girl. The girl asked Peter if she could have another leaf, and he gladly gave one to her.

Soon they were saying their good-byes and taking some pictures as well. Then the girl was off to have more adventures with her friend, but she had forgot one important thing! She forgot to let Peter know that she was celebrating her birthday. The girl just had so many things to tell him, that she forgot all about her birthday celebration! She was wearing a nice pin that proclaimed it was her birthday, however, she was wearing them on her bottoms, where not many people would notice that there was a pin there. So after awhile the girl went to go see Peter again, while her friend waited in line to meet the lovely Ariel and her prince, Eric.

When the girl was in line she made chitchat with Noah. Noah seemed like a very kind man, one that the girl would like to get to know even more. She asked him what it’s like to be Peter Pan’s friend, and Noah seemed to enjoy it. The girl thought that she would love to be any character’s friend one day. She asked Noah if he would be nice enough to record a video of the girl meeting with Peter Pan. A video, is like a picture, but instead of capturing just one moment in time, it captures many, in a moving sequence. Noah of course obliged to recording the video and off the girl was to spend some more time with Peter Pan.

When he saw her he said that he couldn’t make her a lost girl. The girl was put off by this.

"Why??" she exclaimed.

"Because you didn’t bring me my beef sandwich," Peter Pan said.

The girl was even more put off by this and had to explain to Peter that she could not bring the beef sandwich because the juice from the beef sandwich would most likely spill all over the place in her luggage. Peter soon understood and then began to start talking about having the girl get pixie dust on her.

"I have pixie dust on me!" the girl exclaimed.

"Oh yeah I noticed, did Tinkerbell fly into you or something?" Peter asked.

"Oh no, I was at Castle Couture, which is in Fantasyland, and I made a wish and they sprinkled pixie dust on me!" the girl happily said.

"What did you wish for? Something good?" Peter curiously asked.

"I can’t tell you, or it won’t come true!" exclaimed the girl.

"Sure ya can! That’s just a rumor!"

"How about if you whisper it in my ear, I won’t tell anybody."

"No!" the girl exclaimed, smiling and turning away, "It’s about you!"

"It’s about me? Is it a good one? Did you wish something for me? Am I going to wake up in the morning with a new toy?" Peter eagerly asked.

"No," the girl said, keeping her secret well.

"No? Oh boy. Let me see what you got here," Peter Pan said, grabbing for the girl’s doll of Peter Pan himself.

The girl explained that Peter Pan, her doll, had been riding all of the rides with her and Peter began playing with the doll, asking if he looks anything like him.

"You know he rode Expedition Everest five times!" the girl exclaimed, referring to her doll.

"He rode Everest five times? You must’ve dragged him on, I don’t even like that ride!" Peter exclaimed, turning away.

"What??!!" the girl said shocked.

Peter smiled coyly at this and then the girl mentioned that it’s her birthday, but not really, because she was celebrating her birthday the whole time she was at Walt Disney World. Peter Pan began chatting to her about catching her on her fib, while chatting with a girl who was waiting to see him.

The girl had no idea what he was talking about (she was clarified about it later when she spoke with her friend), so he asked her where her friend is. The girl said that she was waiting for Ariel and Eric.

At this, the boy grew excited, and asked her to do him a favor and give Ariel a fork from one of the taverns in Magic Kingdom. The girl happily agreed. Then she delivered a message from Tinkerbell, as well as from a prince and princess from a far away land, their names: Aladdin and Jasmine. The girl talked to Tink about the present she was supposed to receive from her, and Tink mentioned that it was a pumpkin muffin, and that before she gave it to the girl, she decided to eat it. Aladdin and Jasmine, moreso Jasmine, commented on wanting Peter Pan to visit their palace. Jasmine wanted to know if he was allergic to monkeys, for their pet Abu lived in the palace, Peter Pan wasn’t so it was set that he could visit their palace. Then the girl took some pictures with the boy, and they said their good-byes.

The girl went on a hunt to find a fork, and she soon came across one, with the help of one of Peter Pan’s friends, who she met the very first time she met Peter Pan. The man remembered her. The funny thing is he was the friend who gave her the idea of kissing Peter Pan in the first place. So she found her fork and she went in line with her friend to meet Ariel and Eric.

When it was her turn to meet Ariel and Eric, she presented the fork as a present to Ariel, saying that Peter Pan wanted her to give it to her. Eric and Ariel gave each other a look.

"Peter Pan was hiding under those bushes earlier, throwing forks at Ariel!" Eric exclaimed.

The girl was surprised at this, shook her head, and said, “I’ll have to have a talk with him! That trickster!”

The girl spent some time chatting with Ariel and Eric, who were very nice company, took some pictures and was off to have more adventures with her friend.

The girl and her friend had much fun at Walt Disney World over the course of the next couple of days, but the girl never did get to see Peter again. This disappointed her, for she had, once again, lost the leaf that Peter gave to her. The girl’s friend, in hopes of cheering her friend up, pretended to be Peter Pan and presented a leaf to her. The girl was happy about this, and even got a leaf herself from the place that the boy plays in Adventureland, before she left.

On the trip back home, the girl’s friend had her friend listen to a beautiful song entitled “Enchanted”, by a singer named Taylor Swift. The girl was amazed at how well the lyrics fit how she viewed Peter Pan. The lovely little song goes like this:

"There I was again tonight

Forcing laughter, faking smiles

Same old tired lonely place

Walls of insincerity,

Shifting eyes and vacancy

Vanished when I saw your face

All I can say is it was enchanting to meet you

Your eyes whispered, “Have we met?”

Across the room your silhouette

Starts to make its way to me

The playful conversation starts

Counter all your quick remarks

Like passing notes in secrecy

And it was enchanting to meet you

All I can say is I was enchanted to meet you

This night is sparkling, don’t you let it go

I’m wonderstruck, blushing all the way home

I’ll spend forever wondering if you knew

I was enchanted to meet you

The lingering question kept me up

2 AM, who do you love?

I wonder ‘til I’m wide awake

And now I’m pacing back and forth

Wishing you were at my door

I’d open up and you would say,

"Hey, It was enchanting to meet you,

All I know is I was enchanted to meet you.”

This night is sparkling, don’t you let it go

I’m wonderstruck, blushing all the way home

I’ll spend forever wondering if you knew

This night is flawless, don’t you let it go

I’m wonderstruck, dancing around all alone

I’ll spend forever wondering if you knew

I was enchanted to meet you

This is me praying that

This was the very first page

Not where the story line ends

My thoughts will echo your name

Until I see you again

These are the words I held back

As I was leaving too soon

I was enchanted to meet you

Please don’t be in love with someone else

Please don’t have somebody waiting on you

Please don’t be in love with someone else

Please don’t have somebody waiting on you

This night is sparkling, don’t you let it go

I’m wonderstruck, blushing all the way home

I’ll spend forever wondering if you knew

This night is flawless, don’t you let it go

I’m wonderstruck, dancing around all alone

I’ll spend forever wondering if you knew

I was enchanted to meet you

Please don’t be in love with someone else

Please don’t have somebody waiting on you”

The girl began crying for she felt like she could relate to it so well. Granted, it was definitely a love song, and the girl was sure she wasn’t in love with Peter, although she’ll admit, she was beginning to have a crush on him. Did the entire song ring true to her entirely? No, but no other song has come close to it since. The girl didn’t know how, but she knew that sometime she’d be seeing Peter real soon, that this isn’t where the storyline ends.

The End…for now.
